Oracle Adds Mobile Development Features to ADF

Oracle has released a new mobile development extension for its Application Development Framework (ADF). Called ADF Mobile, the tool helps enterprise application development pros port their Java apps to iOS and Android. The goal is for developers to be able to write code once and be able to run it on any platform. In order to meet Apple’s criteria for inclusion in the App Store, ADF Mobile uses a headless Java Virtual Machine to generate content that will run in a Web page.

In addition to Java, ADF Mobile also supports HTML5, JavaScript and other open Web technologies.
