Report: IT Job Turnover At Its Highest Since 2002

Online tech job board Dice.com has released a new report which says that voluntary job quits in the IT sector have increased 14 percent since 2014, reaching their highest point since 2002. Enterprises are finding it increasingly difficult to find and attract top tech talent, particularly developers who can command very high salaries.

A recent Dice survey found that 59 percent of tech workers said that they would move to another city for a higher-paying job, and 50 percent said they would move to another city even if the pay wasn’t higher.

“Companies that may not have the biggest budgets aren’t completely in a bind,” Bob Melk, president of Dice, said. “Tech professionals tell us having interesting or challenging projects keeps them happy and engaged.”
