Visual Studio Adds Bing Developer Assistant

Visual Studio Adds Bing Developer Assistant

Microsoft has announced the release of a new extension for its Visual Studio IDE called Bing Developer Assistant for Visual Studio. The tool combines the power of the IDE’s sample browser and Bing Code Search to make it easier to search for code snippets. It was created in response to customer feedback and should help developers save time.

“We have an ambitious roadmap for Bing Developer Assistant for Visual Studio,” blogged the Bing Developer Assistant team. “As we mentioned earlier, there are plans to support more programming languages in the Visual Studio IntelliSense window. In addition, we are investigating expansion of the tool into other developer experiences within the company; enterprise code search, compile/debug error assistance, and MSDN forum support.”

Developers using Visual Studio 2013 and Visual Studio 2012 can download Bing Developer Assistant for free.
