For some time, Microsoft has been promising that Windows 10 would become available this summer. Now it has nailed down a specific date: July 29. On that date, Windows 7 and 8.1 users will be able to update to the new OS for free, and new tablets and PCs running Windows 10 will also go on sale on that day.
The company still hasn’t said when Windows 10-based smartphones will go on sale.
