Redirecting Visitors to a New Page with a <META> Tag

If your Web site moves to a new address, you won’t want to lose all the people who have bookmarked the old one. Luckily there are several ways to create page that automatically forwards visitors from the old site to the new one.

This solution uses a tag where the CONTENT attribute includes the value 5 to redirect visitors to the new site after a five second delay. The tag won’t work with every browser so it’s a sensible precaution to include a normal HTML link for people to click on too.
