Is there a way to disable the View Source menu option in a Web browser?

Question:
Is there a way to disable the View Source menu optionin the Netscape browser so that when someone tries to look at thedocument source they can’t see it?

Answer:
No, not that I know of. The HTTP protocolwas designed for information sharing, so it cannot be done at the HTTPlevel. All browsers have this feature built into them; the only wayaround it is to design your own Web browser and leave out thisoption. But you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone who would want abrowser that didn’t allow them to the view the source code on pagesthat interest them.
