Improve Stored Procedure Speed

Improve Stored Procedure Speed

When developing stored procedures in SQL Server, use the SET NOCOUNT ON option at the start of your procedure. This will prevent the superfluous “row count” messages from being generated, and will improve performance by eliminating wasted network traffic.

CREATE PROCEDURE nocount_testAS/* This proc uses the set nocount on... */ SET NOCOUNT ON/* Do your proc here... */GO
