Google's Container Engine Now Generally Available

The cloud computing provider now promises 99.95 percent uptime for Docker containers running on the service.

Application Security Testing: An Integral Part of DevOps

Google has announced that its Container Engine has exited beta status and is now generally available. That means the service is ready for production use and that Google backs it with a service level agreement that promises 99.95 percent uptime.

Container Engine allows users to run and manage Docker containers in Google's cloud. It is free for up to 5 VMs, but users must still pay for the Compute Engine instances used for their containers. Standard clusters of up to 100 VMs costs $0.015 per hour plus Compute Engine costs.
