If you are developing COM components that run under MTS (Microsoft Transaction Server) then during the development phase, you will notice that dangling interfaces are often present in your system registry. Here is way to scan and remove these dangling interfaces present in your system registry using a command line. Call “mtxiidel.exe” from the command prompt, which first scans your system registry for dangling interfaces and then prompts you with a Yes/No option to remove these dangling interfaces. Note that these interfaces are not usable because they require the standard automation proxy/stub but lack the required type library.
