Microsoft has released an update to the beta version of Windows App Studio that includes some significant changes. Windows App Studio is the company’s web-based mobile development platform. The latest release offers better TouchDevelop integration and ends support for Windows Phone 8.0.
“App Studio users can now add single or multiple TouchDevelop sections to add richer features to their apps,” blogged Microsoft’s Emilio Salvador Prieto. “With just a few clicks, select TouchDevelop scripts are imported into App Studio, ready to generate an AppX package to side-load on any phone, tablet or PC running Windows 8.1, or [to] publish to Windows Phone or Windows Store.”
The updated version of Windows App Studio also now supports universal Web App Templates.
