On Friday, around fifteen developers supporting the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York took place in a half-day hackathon. “My goal was to get people interested and get them started on building technical solutions,” said hackathon organizer Andrew Gwozdziewycz.
The projects the programmers were working on included an aggregated newsfeed for content about the protest, a carpool service for people who want to attend the events, an online message board and a mobile version of the Occupy Together website.
