Time Warner, NBC Universal, and other media companies are telling Steve Jobs that they won’t convert their video libraries from Flash so that they can be viewed on the iPhone or the iPad. They argue that such a move would be too expensive and is unnecessary because Flash dominates the Web. Companies are also feeling more confident in snubbing Apple because of the coming availability of competing products and Google’s new TV project which will let consumers watch Internet video on their televisions.

Some other media companies, including Disney, CBS, CNN and FOX News have decided to support the iPad. Still, the news that some companies are taking a stand in favor of Flash is good news for Adobe.
