Microsoft has officially completed its acquisition of InRelease, an application lifecycle management solution formerly owned by InCycle Software. The InRelease technology is slated to enhance the functionality of Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server 2013 and Visual Studio 2013, boosting the devops capabilities in the enterprise application development tools.
“The release-management capabilities provided by InRelease offer a critical component of the DevOps workflow,” blogged Microsoft’s S. Somasegar. “[It will enable] developers to deliver faster and more frequently into production.”
In addition, Microsoft has released a preview of InRelease for Visual Studio 2013 Preview. It is now available as a free download.
