Organizations in China can now use the Microsoft Azure cloud computing service. In a statement, Microsoft’s Takeshi Numoto announced, “I am pleased to share that Microsoft Azure, operated by 21Vianet, is now generally available for our customers in China.” He added that this deal makes Microsoft the “first global company to make onshore public cloud services available to customers in China, through 21Vianet.”
According to analysts at IDC, the Chinese cloud computing market has been growing by 40 percent per year.
