This utility, provided as VB source code, captures the desktop and saves your selection as JPG (with quality settings) or BMP. Using it is quite simple: Go to menu and select Capture/Grab Screen. Wait approx 2 seconds (move windows to better position etc) and cursor changes to a cross. To cancel the grab just click on same pixel. To grab a section click and drag the mouse. Set quality settings in menu Grab/Quality if you are saving as jpg. (If you are saving as jpg then go to menu Capture/Quality and choose setting 10 -100 (default 70)), – go to menu File/Save to save file , name the file with a jpg extension else it will be saved as a bitmap – bmp.
