Joel Bruckenstein and Bob Veres presented key findings from the 2025 T3/Inside Information Software Survey at the T3 Advisor Conference in Dallas. The survey, which included responses from over 2,000 financial advisors, revealed significant shifts in fintech market share and the growing importance of artificial intelligence in the industry. Advyzon emerged as a rising star, quadrupling its CRM market share to 12 percent and leading the “All-In-One” product category with a 10 percent share.

The company’s fully integrated products and high user satisfaction ratings contributed to its success. Despite Advyzon’s gains, Redtail remained the CRM market leader, although its share fell from 45 percent in 2024 to 26 percent this year. AI was included in the survey for the first time, with 41 percent of advisors reporting they use AI tools.

ChatGPT had the highest market share at 36 percent, followed by Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude.

Popular AI use cases included note-taking apps, organizing automated input data, and optical character recognition.

Bruckenstein believes the SEC will allow more innovation and experimentation under the Trump administration, leading to the release of more client-facing AI products and features. He said, “There’s a tsunami coming, and there’s going to be a fundamental change in the way advisors do business.”

Several fintech product categories achieved market penetration over 50 percent for the first time, including estate and tax planning tools, social security analysis, and college planning products. In the financial planning category, eMoney became the market share leader, surpassing MoneyGuide.

The survey also revealed that Schwab outpaced rivals Fidelity and Pershing in the custodial category, while Altruist secured the highest satisfaction ratings. The report noted that a higher-than-usual number of respondents were open to changing vendors. The 2025 T3 Advisor Conference, which featured the survey findings, was financially supported by Advyzon, FP Alpha, Jump, Orion, and SEI.

Next year’s conference is scheduled for March 9 to 12 in New Orleans.
