The next installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 7, has been announced for release on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PS4, and PC. However, the game is notably absent from the list of platforms for Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 console. Despite this omission, a source has confirmed that the Call of Duty team is “committed” to bringing the series to Nintendo.
“We’re committed to getting the franchise on Switch. Both teams are working on it, and we will share details when ready,” the source stated. Black Ops 7 is set to feature a co-op campaign that can be played solo or with friends, as well as the series’ signature multiplayer experience with new maps and the popular Zombies mode.
New platforms and a co-op campaign
Treyarch and Raven Software are developing the game. Actor Milo Ventimiglia, known for his roles in “Heroes” and “Gilmore Girls,” will star as David Mason in the game.
More details on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 are expected to be revealed later this summer. Fans will have to wait and see if the game will eventually make its way to the Switch 2 or other Nintendo platforms. The Call of Duty franchise has not appeared on a Nintendo console since 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Wii U.
The gaming community is closely watching for updates on the series’ potential return to Nintendo.
