The Behemoth surprised fans of Castle Crashers by announcing a new DLC for the 16-year-old game. The DLC, called Painter Boss Paradise, will let players make their own knight skins and choose their own magic. This will be the first major addition to Castle Crashers in 12 years.
The DLC will include Steam Workshop capabilities, allowing players to create and share their own knight skins. It will also introduce a new official character, Paint Junior, who can create art that destroys enemies. All official playable characters will get new player and weapon artwork, with an option to toggle this feature on or off.
The Behemoth announced the DLC with an animated video and a post on social media. The post read: “We used to be enemies. We used to destroy the world around us.
Now, we create! Introducing… the Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise DLC, coming soon to Steam!”
In addition to the DLC announcement, The Behemoth also shared their roadmap of upcoming releases for all their games.
