LexisNexis Risk Solutions (LNRS), a major data broker, recently disclosed a significant data breach that affected over 364,000 individuals. The company discovered the unauthorized access on April 1, 2025, although the incident occurred on December 25, 2024. According to LNRS, an unknown third party acquired certain data from a third-party platform used for software development.
The breach did not impact LNRS’s own networks or systems. The stolen personal information includes names, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license numbers. However, the company assured that no financial or credit card information was compromised.
LNRS has launched an investigation with leading cybersecurity experts and notified law enforcement.

They are also offering two years of free identity protection and credit monitoring services to those impacted.
There was no compromise of our own systems, infrastructure, or products. We are notifying approximately 364,000 individuals and appropriate regulators. We have also reported this incident to law enforcement,” LNRS stated.
The company emphasized the importance of vigilance against fraud and identity theft, advising individuals to review account statements and monitor credit reports. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, LexisNexis Risk Solutions collects user information from public records and other sources, providing it to financial, insurance, healthcare, and government organizations to help them identify risks and fraud. As more information about the LNRS breach becomes available, affected individuals are advised to take precautionary measures.
LNRS continues to cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory bodies to address the situation.
