The display is 35% brighter than the Pixel 8a, reaching 2700 nits, and offers a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate for a smoother visual experience. The phone comes in two new colorways: Peony and Iris. At its price point, the Pixel 9a offers a top-tier camera experience.
It has an upgraded dual rear camera system, with a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP main camera. New to the A-series is Macro Focus, which allows users to capture intricate details.

The phone also includes AI-powered photography tools such as Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Audio Magic Eraser, Night Sight, Astrophotography, and Panorama with Night Sight.
The Pixel 9a boasts a battery life exceeding 30 hours, and up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver.

The device is equipped with IP68 water and dust resistance, making it the most durable A-series phone yet. The phone features Gemini Nano, Google’s AI assistant, which integrates smoothly with apps like Maps, Calendar, and YouTube, streamlining multitasking. Users can interact with Gemini Live through voice commands for free-flowing conversations.
