He has criticized what he calls wasteful and fraudulent spending, suggesting he thinks major changes are needed in several parts of the government. The main question is whether Musk’s high-profile criticism will affect the administration’s policies on Social Security.
It is also unclear if the White House will respond to calls to control Musk’s media appearances more strictly.
