Orange Amps, known for its iconic guitar amplifiers, has ventured into the world of turntables with the launch of the O Turntable. This marks the company’s first foray into the vinyl market, bringing its decades of audio expertise to a new product category. The O Turntable is designed and built from scratch in the UK.
It combines modern convenience with audiophile-level features, offering a plug-and-play experience for vinyl enthusiasts. The turntable features a white gloss plinth with a “Voice of the World” slipmat and a belt-driven deck. It also boasts a 23mm high-mass phenolic platter that ensures smooth rotation and speed stability.
Vibration control is achieved through a custom PCB and aluminum pulley on the 24V low-noise synchronous motor. The O Turntable comes equipped with an auto-bias tonearm and a moving magnet phono stage, making it ready to play right out of the box.
Orange’s first UK-made turntable
The minimalist design is highlighted by a hidden power switch beneath the plinth. The turntable is compatible with a wide range of audio devices, including the Orange Pyramid System. Priced at £499 (approximately $699), the O Turntable is set to go on sale through Orange Amps in late July, initially in the USA and then internationally.
It will be packaged in a stylish transparent glass box. Orange Amps’ entry into the turntable market brings its stage-proven sound quality to vinyl enthusiasts. The O Turntable offers a modern, high-fidelity option for those looking to enjoy their record collection without breaking the bank.
As Orange Amps expands its portfolio beyond guitar amplifiers, the O Turntable represents an exciting addition to the company’s lineup of consumer audio devices. Music aficionados can look forward to experiencing the iconic Orange sound in a new way with this beautifully engineered turntable.
