A prototype of the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic has appeared on eBay, confirming rumors about its new design. The listed model, referenced as SM-L505U, is a 46mm watch with LTE capability and 64GB of storage. The prototype features a leather strap and a magnetic charging adapter with a USB-C plug.
One of the standout features is the rotating bezel, last seen on the 2023 Watch6 Classic. The watch also includes an extra button—a crown—though it is unlikely to be a rotating crown like the one on the Galaxy Watch Ultra. A prominent speaker is located on the left side, similar to the Ultra model.
Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic details
The official reveal of the Galaxy Watch8 Classic and the standard Watch8 is expected at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. While no date has been confirmed, industry chatter suggests an imminent announcement.
This leak follows previous CAD-based renders and rumors suggesting that the Galaxy Watch8 series will adopt a “squircle” design, combining square and circle shapes. The new series is also rumored to support faster charging speeds and feature a larger battery compared to last year’s Watch7. More updates are expected as the next Galaxy Unpacked event approaches, where Samsung will unveil its latest innovations in wearable technology.
The event will likely also showcase the company’s new line of Galaxy foldable devices.
