Pokémon HOME has become an essential tool for Pokémon players who want to catch them all. One of the most exciting features is the exclusive release of shiny Pokémon, some of which haven’t been available for over a decade. As of January 28th, 2025, three shiny distributions have been made available to trainers who complete specific Pokédexes in Pokémon HOME.

To get Shiny Meloetta, players must complete the Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy Pokédexes. These can be done by transferring Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including the DLC content. Shiny Meloetta will also be the final reward for the Masterworks Research in Pokémon GO.

Shiny Enamorus requires players to complete the Hisui region Pokédex by depositing Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Enamorus will return to Pokémon GO raids from February 6th to 17th, 2025, but its shiny form may not be available during this event. For Shiny Manaphy and Phione, players need to complete the Sinnoh Pokédex by depositing Pokémon from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

The Sinnoh dex includes 150 Pokémon, excluding Mythical Pokémon or those only in the Grand Underground. To complete the Pokédex, trainers can use the Global Trade System and Wonder Box in Pokémon HOME. Pokémon Legends: Arceus allows completion of its Pokédex within a single game, no trading required.

Hatching Pokémon like Shieldon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond will register it in the Sinnoh dex, no matter where it was caught. Be careful when trading Legendary or event-exclusive Pokémon, as they might be illegitimate.

Keeping a checklist of required Pokémon can speed up the process. Trainers now have an exciting new opportunity to add rare Shiny Pokémon to their collections. By completing specific game Pokédexes, you can earn special Pokémon via Mystery Gift.

Players who complete the Hisui Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus will receive a Shiny Enamorus. Those who complete the Sinnoh Pokédex in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will be rewarded with a Shiny Manaphy. To claim these rewards, ensure your Pokédexes are complete, then confirm your achievements in the Games tab.

It’s essential to have a linked Nintendo Account to receive Mystery Gifts. Each Mystery Gift is available only once per account. If you’ve already completed these Pokédexes, you’re still eligible to claim your Shiny Pokémon rewards.

Enjoy this new in-game incentive and continue your efforts to catch ’em all. The reward campaign for the shiny Manaphy and Enamorus was announced without specific expiration dates, suggesting that these incentives may be available indefinitely. Pokémon HOME is expected to introduce similar rewards for completing the Pokédex in upcoming titles like “Pokémon Legends: Z-A,” which is projected for a 2025 release.

Details about this upcoming spin-off might be revealed on February 27, during this year’s Pokémon Day celebrations. Pokémon HOME, launched in February 2020, is a cloud service for the Nintendo Switch and compatible mobile devices that allows players to store and transfer their Pokémon across various games.
