The Social Security Administration (SSA) has confirmed that retirees age 62 and older will receive a payment of $1,907 next Wednesday, November 27, if they meet specific requirements. The payment is part of the Social Security system, which distributes payments on different dates depending on the beneficiary’s group. To be eligible for the November 27 payment, retirees must have reached age 62 or older, be actively receiving Social Security benefits, have a birthdate between the 21st and 31st of any month, and have begun receiving benefits after May 1997.

Meeting these requirements ensures that payments are organized and processed without hassle. The Social Security website has also confirmed two payments this week. The first payment, on November 27, is for retirees who began receiving benefits after May 1997 and have birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.

The second payment, on November 29, is the December Supplemental Security Income (SSI) advance payment, which is made to avoid delays since December 1 falls on a weekend. To ensure timely payment, beneficiaries should update their bank information, confirm their eligibility, and check the official SSA calendar.

Payment schedule for retirees confirmed

Opting for Direct Deposit can expedite the receipt of funds, with payments arriving the same day they are issued. Looking ahead to December, the SSA has made the new payment schedule official. Payments will be distributed throughout the month based on the claimant’s birthdate and the duration of their benefits.

SSI payments will be made on December 1, while retirement benefits will be paid on December 3 for those who receive both. Claimants with birthdays between the 1st and 10th will receive their payment on December 13, those with birthdays between the 11th and 20th will be paid on December 20, and those born between the 21st and 31st will receive their payment on December 24. Due to the New Year’s Day holiday, SSI beneficiaries will receive their January payment early, on December 29.
