Today, Appcelerator has released version 1.0 of Titanium, it’s cross-platform app development system. Developers who use the system will be able to create apps for multiple platforms using JavaScript, PHP and Ruby, instead of learning other languages.

“Our value proposition is that we allow Web developers to build native mobile and desktop applications using the skills and technologies that they have today,” said Appcelerator’s Scott Schwarzhoff.
