San-Francisco-based Busted Loop has turned up a number of interesting statistics about the iPad as part of its App Slice project. Highlights include the following:
- Only 16,700 of the 140,000 iPhone apps have been certified as iPad-compatible.
- 40 of those apps will only work on the 3G version of the iPad.
- Analysts say that Apple could make enough money on content to equal 10 percent of iPad hardware sales by the end of the year and 30 percent next year.
