Microsoft to Offer Web Analytics for Silverlight Apps

According to Michael Scherotter, Microsoft media experience evangelist, the company plans to unveil a new Microsoft Silverlight Analytics Framework beta at its Mix10 conference in Las Vegas. “[The idea] is to enable rich analytics like you have on the Web in Silverlight applications,” Scherotter explained. “The importance is to understand how people are using your application.”

With the framework, apps will be able to track details about usage. The code for the framework will be released on Microsoft’s CodePlex site for open-source projects.
