On Thursday, Ryan Sarver, head of Twitter’s platform development, gave developers a few hints about the company’s upcoming roadmap. First, he told the crowd at the Chirp conference that Twitter will add “places” to the service and maintain a database of locations that it will share with developers.
Second, the micro-blogging service will add “user streams” for desktop apps and will make the API available within a couple of days.
The company has also launched dev.twitter.com to support developers, and it will add a status feature to Watchmouse, giving developers a better picture of what’s going on with the Twitter API.
