Study: Developers Would Rather Do Taxes Than Test Software

According to new research conducted by vendor Electric Cloud (which sells software testing automation and management products), application developers would rather do their taxes than debug their code. The study also found that major bugs cost software companies an average of $250,000.

In addition, 58 percent of developers surveyed said that the reason why software contains bugs is because of poor testing procedures or because they don’t have enough time to do proper testing.
