Alcatel-Lucent is making another push into the mobile app world by purchasing tool vendor OpenPlug. OpenPlug is best known for ELIPS Studio, which allows developers to create apps that run on both the iPhone and Android. Soon, the tool will add support for Windows Mobile, Symbian and the iPad.
