Microsoft Offloads IronRuby and IronPython Languages to External Developers

Confirming rumors that the company was decreasing its support for the projects, Microsoft will officially hand off control of the IronRuby and IronPython programming languages to the open source community as of November 1. Separately, Jim Hugunin, the creator of IronPython, announced that he will be leaving Microsoft for Google.
