Amazon has officially opened its Appstore for Android, and the new store has quite a few features that set it apart from other app stores. For example, the Appstore offers a different free app every day, and it allows users to return some apps after a 15 minute test drive if they decide they don’t like them. Also, because Amazon (not the developers) sets prices on the Appstore, some titles may be less expensive at its store.
The launch of the new store did have one big hitch, however. Apple has sued Amazon for infringing on its “App Store” trademark.
