10 Tech Companies That Are Hiring Developers Now

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. economy created no net new jobs in August, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to find a job if you’re a developer. In fact, many tech companies say they’re looking to hire lots of application developers, software engineers and similar professionals. Those companies include the following:

  1. Kontagent plans to hire 50 more software engineers, data visualization engineers and data scientist in the next six months.
  2. Kareo Inc. is looking for ten software engineers, three product managers, a project manager and two user interface designers.
  3. Black Duck Software still has more than a dozen openings for technical positions (including senior software engineers) after hiring 32 people so far this year.
  4. Akamai Technologies wants to hire 400 new people this year, including software developers with skills in Linux, Unix, C++, C, Java, as well as user interface design.
  5. Appirio Inc. has 20 openings available with 20 more jobs coming open soon.
  6. Intuit Inc. is seeking 350 to 400 technical workers, including those with skills in C++, Ruby on Rails, mobile, social networking and user interface development.
  7. Carbonite Inc. will hired 70 to 150 new workers in Maine.
  8. CDW wants to hire 250-300 hardware engineers, technical leads and architects, project managers, and professional services managers.
  9. Dell expects to add 1,000-2,000 jobs in the U.S. this year, including hardware and software engineers and software developers.
  10. Wayfair LLC is looking for 30 new people for its engineering department.
