According to mobile ad firm Fiksu, iPhone owners downloaded the top 200 free App Store apps an average of 6.04 million times per day in December. That marked a 7 percent increase over November’s record-setting 5.45 million daily downloads. Back in September, the average per day sat at just 3.8 million.
The firm noted that December downloads spiked during the holiday season when many people received new iPhones as gifts.
