With the mobile development industry increasingly concerned about discoverability, AppCode.es has unveiled two new utilities for App Store Optimization (ASO). ASO is a lot like the more familiar SEO (search engine optimization), except that it helps developers improve their rankings in app stores, not search engines.
One of the new utilities tries to guess which keywords your competitors are using for their apps, and the other estimates your position in the app store based on a certain keyword. “Traditionally, a developer had to submit a new set of keywords for the app into the app store, then he or she had to wait for a week to be approved,” explained AppCod.es’s Tomasz Kolinko. “After a day or so, he would see whether his ASO actions worked.”
However, the new tools aim to change that by providing feedback on keyword changes in just seconds.
