New data from mobile analytics firm Flurry suggests that China is quickly becoming the world’s number one market for mobile applications. China recently overtook the U.S. as the country with the most iOS and smartphone activations per month. It climbed from eleventh place on the list to first place in little over a year.
In addition, app sessions in China have also risen dramatically — 1126 percent over last year. While the U.S. still accounts for 46 percent of all app sessions, that percentage is declining as other markets become more important. For the mobile development industry, the report points to big opportunities in markets like China, the U.K., South Korea, France, Australia, Canada, Japan, Germany and Spain.
