Parse Backend-as-a-Service Goes Freemium

Startup Parse has announced that its “backend-as-a-service” for mobile developers will now be free to try. In fact, developers can get up to 1 million API requests, 1 million push notifications and 1 GB of storage before charges kick in.

Many mobile apps need similar server-side services, like databases, user authentication, push notifications, and file storage. The Parse SDK eliminates the need to re-build the same server-side code over and over, helping reduce the amount of time required for mobile development firms to launch a new app.
