Amazon Apps Earn Nearly as Much as iOS Apps

Mobile analytics firm Flurry has released a new report which suggests that the Amazon Appstore is nearly as lucrative for mobile developers as Apple’s App Store. The study compared apps that are listed in all three of the biggest app stores. “For every $1.00 an app generates in the iTunes App Store, it generates $0.89 in the Amazon Appstore and $0.23 in Google Play,” said the report.

Clearly, Apple still dominates when it comes to earnings for third-party mobile developers. However, the report suggests that mobile development pros would also do well to target Amazon’s platform.
