Different cloud computing vendors price their wares in a dizzying array of different ways, making it very difficult to compare prices. To make that task a little easier, RBC Capital Markets has proposed a new formula for analyzing prices: total spend per GB of RAM.
Based on this formula, RBC calculated that Amazon Web Services is the least expensive at $27 per GB, followed by Google and IBM SoftLayer (tied at $32), Microsoft Azure ($35), HP ($55) and Rackspace ($79).
Check out the article for a chart that shows how each vendor’s cloud computing prices have fallen over the past year.
