Amazon Web Services has announced a new service designed to make it easier for enterprises to move their legacy applications to cloud computing environments. Called Application Discovery Service, the service identifies applications and dependencies, as well as measuring baseline performance. However, the tool does not automate the entire process of cloud migration. The company says that it will merely identify needs, and that enterprises will need to work with Amazon partners to complete the process of moving applications to the cloud.
A preview for Application Delivery Service will become available in the “coming weeks.”
