Azure Stack Gets Web Development, Database Tools

Less than two weeks after it first released the beta version of its Azure Stack private cloud computing tools, Microsoft has added some new Web development features. The Web Apps feature of the Azure App Service can now run on Azure Stack, and Azure Stack also now has some new tools for working with MySQL and SQL Server database workloads.

At the same time, Microsoft updated the Azure SDK and its Visual Studio IDE to support Azure Stack. The company says the new tools make it as easy to deploy applications to Azure Stack as to its public cloud computing service.
