Cisco, Pivotal Partner to Resell Each Other’s Cloud Computing Technology

Cisco and Pivotal have signed an agreement to resell each other’s cloud computing offerings. Both will sell the Pivotal Cloud Foundry cloud development platform, as well as Cisco’s Metapod, an OpenStack-based solution for private clouds. The companies said that using these two solutions together gives enterprises a complete cloud solution.

“With the integration of Cisco Metapod and Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Cisco is pulling together the leading managed private cloud solution with the leading cloud-native developer experience to help customers quickly and easily modernize their IT along their digital transformation journey,” said Peder Ulander, vice president of Cisco’s Cloud and Managed Services unit.
