According to a new report from mobile analytics provider Distimo, Google Play sales are rising quickly, but Apple’s App Store is still number one. In the last four months, Google Play sales have climbed 43 percent, compared to 21 percent for the App Store. But Apple’s revenues were already so much higher that the surge by Google Play wasn’t nearly enough for it to catch up with its rival. In fact, November daily revenue at the App Store topped $15 million, while Google Play brought in just $3.5 million on an average day.
The report also revealed that the U.S. remains the largest market for apps, followed by Japan, the U.K. and Australia.
