HP Helion Cloud Adds Lean Service

HP has announced a new addition to its Helion cloud computing platform: Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Lean. As you might guess from the name, Lean is a lower-powered, lower-priced version of HP’s virtual private cloud services. It’s aimed at mid-sized enterprises who want to do application development, software testing and workplace collaboration in the cloud.

“HP already offers a feature-rich industry-leading managed virtual private cloud offering for enterprise customers,” Jim Fanella, vice president for workload and cloud at HP Enterprise Services, said. “The new HP Helion Managed VPC Lean now delivers a lower-priced alternative designed to enable clients to further optimize cloud workloads in the enterprise?while still providing superior, enterprise-class service and performance.”

Prices for Helion Managed VPC Lean start at $168 per month.
