IBM, SAP Partner on Cognitive, Cloud Computing

IBM and SAP have announced that they have a new partnership focused on integrating their cognitive computing technology and cloud computing platforms. The two companies have worked together in the past, and this deal focuses on combining SAP’s S/4HANA and HANA Cloud Platform with IBM’s cognitive and cloud computing offerings.

The two enterprise software giants plan to work together at creating custom cloud applications for various industries, deploying those applications in hybrid and on-premise environments and offering integrated services using “collaborative consulting models.” They plan to have staff working together in Walldorf, Germany and Palo Alto, Calif.
