IBM says it will spend $1.2 billion to build fifteen new data centers that will support its cloud computing businesses. The new facilities will be spread across the U.S., China, Hong Kong, India, Canada, the U.K., the Middle East and Africa. When construction is complete, the company will have a total of 40 data centers.
IBM forecasts that cloud services will be a $200 billion market by 2020.
