In a sign of the growing popularity of Node.js, cloud computing vendor Joyent has announced a new commercial support package for the platform. Called Node.js Core Support, the service can monitor and troubleshoot Node.js deployments on Joyent’s PaaS, Heroku, Microsoft Windows Azure, Engine Yard, or private clouds.
Joyent currently manages the Node.js code base and employed the Node.js creator, Ryan Dahl, until very recently.
Node.js Core Support will cost $990 per month (however, Joyent warns that this initial pricing may be subject to change).
