Perforce Launches Swarm Code Collaboration Platform

Enterprise application development tool vendor Perforce has debuted a new code collaboration platform. Called Swarm, it aims to allow development teams to work more quickly. Swarm features an activity stream, RSS feeds for updates, in-line code comments, reviews, side-by-side code comparisons and more. It’s based on Zend Framework and the company’s Perforce version control system.

Swarm is currently available for download from the Perforce website. The company is said to be working on a cloud-based version.
