According to the “Collaborative Development Trends Report,” 80 percent of those surveyed said their enterprise has begun to see collaborative development practices as more strategic over the past three years. In addition, 44 percent expect to increase investments in collaborative development during the next six months, and 43 percent expect to maintain current funding levels. Also, 63 percent of developers say they spend more time on collaborative development now than five years ago, while 59 percent say they spend more time on it now than a year ago.

As for the rewards of collaborative development, 83 percent of those surveyed said they get exposure to new tools and development practices. And 77 percent said collaborative development leads to shorter development cycles and faster time to market.
